Wings and hooves

As the first blush of dawn painted the Indian sky, I found myself, a resident veterinarian, already immersed in work at one of the country's premier thoroughbred stud farms. My affection for the horses I cared for was as vast as their own majestic beauty. And on this particular morning, my eyes were drawn to an elegant tableau of nature unfolding before me. A chestnut mare, gravid with life, grazed serenely in the lush green paddock, undisturbed by the world around her. To this serene scene, an egret made its graceful entrance, settling quietly at the mare's front, a silent sentinel amidst the morning dew. As an aficionado of fine art photography, I never embarked on my rounds without my camera. I knew such breathtaking moments were fleeting, ephemeral. Without a moment's hesitation, I captured the serene interaction, an image that would forever be etched in my soul. Each time my gaze rests on this photograph, it is met with an overwhelming sense of tranquility.
